To prevent folate deficiency. 5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid is a highly absorbable, activated form of folate, which does not require enzymatic conversion to 5-methylfolate in the body. The glucosamine salt form utilized in Methylfolate Plus™ is more stable than other forms of methylfolate often used. 5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid studies indicate reduced homocysteine levels and improves vascular endothelial function. It plays a key role in aiding in ulcerative colitis and preventing cervical dysplasia. May help with vitiligo as well as neurological disorders. Helps to improve cognitive function and restless leg syndrome, memory, and insomnia. Helps with mood disorders. Helps prevent neural tube defects in newborns when taken during pregnancy.
