Hmf Replete provides human-sourced probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-60 and CUL-21), Bifidobacterium bifidum(CUL-20), Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL-34), Ligilactobacillus salivarius (CUL-61) ; and it contains fructooligosaccharides (FOS)

The intestines contain more than 400 bacterial species, and bacterial balance needs to be maintained for healthy intestines. Anti-microbial treatments alter intestinal microflora, and can result in the proliferation of treatment resistant bacteria. Probiotics promote naturally healthy microflora and support normal intestinal microbiota following anti-microbial therapy.

IBS affects nearly 5 million Canadians and can also result from altered intestinal microflora. This leads to mal-absorption of bile acids – which aid in fat digestion – and in turn, increases fluid and mucus secretion into the colon for bile acid dilution. As Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria help reabsorb bile acids, less water enters the colon, decreasing diarrheal occurrence.

52 adult individuals with IBS, who daily supplemented with CUL-60, CUL-21, CUL-20 and CUL-34 experienced a significant improvement in quality of life and bowel habit satisfaction scores, and decreased the number of days with pain within 10 weeks.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Apricot Powder, maltodextrin, Fructooligosaccharides. Hypoallergenic Product.

Ingredients used to maintain viability of probiotics (dipotassium phosphate, monopotassium phosphate, trehalose, sucrose, sodium chloride).

Purity: contains no added wheat, starch, corn, sodium, sugar, artificial coloring or flavoring or antimicrobial preservatives. Ideal for vegetarians.

Recommended Adult Dose: In a glass, add 250 mL of water to 1 sachet of HMF® Replete and mix. Take once daily or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Take at least 2 to 3 hours before or after taking antimicrobial agent. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medical agents or natural health products since the absorption of these products may be delayed.

Quality Assurance: Safety-sealed for your protection and for product freshness. Do not use if sachet is opened. Refrigeration of this product is recommended to prolong shelf life. Store under refrigeration (below 8 °C).

Cautions: If symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond three days, discontinue use and consult your healthcare practitioner. If you are experiencing nausea, fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain, consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use.  If you have an immune-compromised condition, do not use.

Storage & Transport: Refrigeration of this product is recommended to prolong shelf life. Label claim will be met if un-refrigerated up to three months.

Extensive product testing and new freeze drying technology performed by Genestra,was concluded that the ice pack did not make a difference during shipping since the product potency was still well over 100% label claims when shipped with ice or no ice. The manufacturer states that it is no longer necessary to ship the HMF products with an ice pack.

It is highly recommended to take your probiotics with you on all trips and vacations since their potency will last for up to 3 months at room temperature un-refrigerated. But, when possible and if convenient, we recommend you store your probiotics in the freezer or refrigerator, especially if you plan to preserve freshness of your product for months or years.
