The adrenal glands are located above the kidneys and release hormones that help the body respond to stress. AdrenoMend™ is designed to promote optimal function of the various homeostasis regulatory systems that work with the adrenal glands to maintain physiological function during both acute and chronic stress. This formulation includes a combination of ten highly valued herbal extracts. Schisandra is used in Herbal Medicine as an adaptogen to help increase energy and resistance to stress. Along with Eleuthero, it helps support mental performance and physical working capacity, and helps promote the balanced response of the sympatho-adrenal-system (SAS) to the body’s acute reaction to a stressor. Similarly, Panax is used in Herbal Medicine to help reduce mental fatigue and enhance physical capacity. It is also used as a supportive therapy for the promotion of healthy glucose levels as it mediates the stress induced elevations of catecholamines and adrenaline-induced hyperglycemia. To provide additional cognitive support, Ashwagandha and Bacopa are included for their traditional use in Ayurveda for memory enhancement. Ashwagandha is also traditionally used in Ayurveda as a rejuvenative tonic, sedative and sleep aid.

Cautions and Warnings: Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you are taking vasodilators (dilate the vascular system to treat heart conditions), and any product to treat atrial fibrillation (a heart rhythm disorder), anti hypertensives (for high blood pressure), hormone therapy, birth control pills, anti-depressants, blood thinners, or if you have thyroid conditions, if symptoms persist or worsen, if you have diabetes, if you have any type of acute infection. Consumption of alcohol with other agents or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended. Do not use if the seal is broken or missing.

Contra-Indications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have high blood pressure, bipolar disorder/bipolar spectrum disorder.

Known Adverse Reactions: Some may experience insomnia, irritability, anxiety, or headaches, in which case discontinue use. May cause gastrointestinal disturbances such as epigastric burning sensation and nausea. Hypersensitivity, such as allergy has been known to occur in which case discontinue use.
